ABOUT ANNMARIE
I started my training in Morley College, Waterloo where I studied the Renee Tanner Method of Reflexology. I had already studied massage and held an Anatomy and Physiology Diploma which gave me insights into how the body works. I’ve always been drawn to the holistic approach to medicine and believing profoundly in the body’s natural ability to heal itself given the right help. I firmly believe that modern medicine is truly amazing but I also believe that we can empower ourselves with a little knowledge on diet, lifestyle, healthier ways to deal with stress - and by using an all-round holistic approach we can help to prevent a lot of common, current and chronic ailments.
During a trip to India in 2001 I saw further evidence that healing often starts from within and I have therefore chosen a course of study which has given me the fundamental knowledge to practice these holistic therapies. Since 2001 I have studied Ayurvedic medicine and became a yoga teacher. I am also a Reiki Master, completed the Shamanic Practitioner Training at Dunderry and consider my life now devoted to bringing these ancient arts to the forefront of my life. This summer (2022) I also completed an additional 100 Hour Trauma Informed Yin Yoga teaching which now brings me up to RYS 300.
